PROJECT DETAILS

The MilVet Startups Conference is an annual two-day networking event held in San Francisco. This event features panels, guest speakers, and networking opportunities focused around military veterans. The conference has attracted over 500+ attendees ranging from founders, investors and entrepreneurs.

MY ROLE

I was tasked with the creation of all visual materials for the event. I've continually worked on the conference’s branding since its creation five years ago. This gave me the opportunity to evolve and refine a wide range of digital and printed materials seen below.

Target Demographic

This event targets military veterans who are searching for business opportunities and networking connections. The event also targets attendees which may include entrepreneurs, investors, and startup founders. The brand aims to incorporate the qualities of military symbolism, and the feeling of strong corporate leadership into a visual design. The end result was a chevron star logo, stylized in a confident blue.

Social Sharing

Military veterans are very prideful of their military branch, so I incorporated that into the brand’s visual language. For speaker graphics and online profiles, I included their military branch on the lower right corner. This detail serves as a connection and conversation starter among attendees.

I worked on MVS ads featured in the Military Times advertising network. This included newsletters, website banners, and printed publications. I also contributed to a full-page magazine spread.
